History
In 2010, the Galgenen, Lachen, Schübelbach, Wangen and Wirth electricity companies decided to expand their fiber optic networks for citizens and launched a pilot phase. Due to the strong growth, the decision was made in 2013 to found the independent company Fiberstream 87 AG, which operates under the name “fiberstream” as a service provider for TV, Internet and telephony. The investment in the company’s own fiber optic networks creates a modern infrastructure that provides a solid basis for communication services. A spirit of innovation should equip the region for future challenges and offer citizens state-of-the-art communication networks at affordable prices.
